Burnett Marus Associates, places great value on the relationship we share with you. We understand that you entrust us with your confidential financial information, and we recognize the importance of keeping this information a private matter and maintaining that trust. That is why Burnett Marus Associates does not sell client lists or any other client information to outside companies. This notice sets forth the details of our approach to privacy and lists the information we collect and how we may disclose information to third parties.

Information Collected and Shared Burnett Marus Associates collects information in the normal course of business that helps us optimize the financial services we offer you. Burnett Marus Associates will disclose the aforementioned information about our clients and former clients to affiliated financial service providers such as our insurance companies and investment firms. By contract, these companies hold customer information in the strictest confidence and do not use the information for any reason other than for the particular purpose contracted.

Privacy Preferences Burnett Marus Associates respects your right to restrict some of the information we disclose to affiliates. You may direct us not to share certain nonpublic personal information other than disclosures required by law. Please be sure to provide us with your full name, address, telephone number, and social security number. We will process your request within a reasonable period of time, although it is possible you may receive newsletters and event notifications from an affiliate in the interim. If you are a joint account holder or a guarantor on an account with Burnett Marus Associates, we will assume your request applies only to your information, unless you inform us otherwise. If you want to restrict information we share on behalf of a joint account holder or guarantor, please be prepared to provide that person’s full name, address, telephone number, and social security number.

Benefits of Sharing Information Sharing information with our affiliate companies enables Burnett Marus Associates to provide comprehensive relationships and inform clients of products and services that could be of value. It also provides the opportunity to avail clients of special events hosted for their benefit.

Security and Confidentiality of Information Burnett Marus Associates restricts access to nonpublic personal information about clients to those employees who need to know the information in order to provide products or services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Keeping You Informed We will provide you with our privacy statement on an annual basis, although you need to notify us only once if you prefer to restrict how we share information. We will send you a revised notice if we ever change our practices for sharing information.

Client Identification Program (CIP) To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we are required to ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will identify you. We may also be required to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
